This note is a studied response that I put together in reply to the false teaching that literal Jerusalem is a subject of Bible prophecy. It is important that the professed people of God rightly divide the warnings, instructions, and prophecies in Holy Writ regarding Jerusalem; for the history of this denominated group of people, is but the type of God's denominated people at the end of the world. I hope and pray that at the end of this study, through testing these things if they be so, that we will realise our responsibility is to restore the walls of Modern Israel; and not literal Israel.

'The city of Jerusalem is NO LONGER A SACRED PLACE. The curse of God is upon it because of the rejection and crucifixion of Christ.'{RH,July 30, 1901}

The Glorious Holy Mountain, in the Bible: Glorious= Goodly; in sense of prominence.
GLORIOUS MOUNTAIN= CANAAN:
'I pray thee,let me go over,& see the good land that is beyond Jordan,that GOODLY MOUNTAIN,& Lebanon.'{Deut 3:25}
HOLY MOUNTAIN=God's Temple/Church:Isa 56:7;Ezek 20:40;Dan 9:16,20;Psalm 48:1,2;Isaiah 51:16;Joel 2:1;Joel 3:17;Zech 8:3.
There is a rule in Bible prophecy, that before the time period of the cross of Christ, prophecy is to be seen it's LITERAL application; and after this time period, it's to be seen in its SPIRITUAL application. Daniel 11:45, is during the time that the Papacy is being rocketed to supreme power over the earth, just before Michael stands up in Daniel 12:1. We're living in those final moments; and those moments are definitely after the crucifixion of Christ, so therefore the Glorious Holy Mountain, is to be applied in its SPIRITUAL fashion.
When did the HOLY MOUNTAIN become SPIRITUAL ISRAEL?
Matthew 24:3 '..what shall be the SIGN of Thy coming, and of the end of the world?'(This verse I have dealt with it at length in my earlier note: The SIGN(SINGULAR). So I will just summarize here:
The disciples were seeking for a SINGULAR event, which would tell them that CHRIST WAS ABOUT TO COME. The Answer:
Mark 13:28 'Now learn a parable of the FIG TREE; WHEN HER branch is yet TENDER, and putteth forth leaves, ye KNOW that SUMMER IS NEAR.'
Luke 21:29 'And He spake to them a parable; Behold the FIG TREE, AND ALL THE TREES; WHEN they[FIG TREE] now SHOOT forth, ye see and KNOW of your own selves that SUMMER IS NOW NIGH AT HAND.'
THE FIG TREE:
Proverbs 27:18 'Whoso keepeth the FIG TREE shall eat the fruit thereof: SO HE THAT WAITETH ON HIS MASTER shall be honoured.'
Someone waiting for the Master is an Advent believer.
Hosea 9:10 'I found ISRAEL like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the FIG TREE...'
Israel is the FIG TREE.
So who are the 'other trees'?
Answer: The Gentiles.
What does Shoot means ?
Answer: Sprout; Bud; The BEGINNINGS of the GROWTH of Israel. But this is NOT talking about the FIRST TIME ISRAEL WAS GATHERED AS A PEOPLE. The context is given in the verse:
'..WHEN her branch is yet TENDER, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that SUMMER is near.'{Mark 13:28}
The context is the END OF THE WORLD. So there'll come a point in time when God, for the SECOND TIME will gather an 'Israel' to Himself, at the END OF THE WORLD. This will be a time, according to Luke 21:29, when there will be a CLEAR DISTINCTION being made between ISRAEL and 'all the trees'- the Gentiles.
WHEN did God for the SECOND TIME gather an 'Israel' to Himself, where there was a DISTINCTION between ISRAEL and the GENTILE world?
Luke 21:24 '..and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, UNTIL THE TIMES OF THE GENTILES BE FULFILLED.'
So at the TERMINATION of the TRAMPLING DOWN of Jerusalem, THAT is the TIME when the 'TIMES OF THE GENTILES' will be FULFILLED, FINISHED.
Rev 11:2 'But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and THE HOLY CITY SHALL THEY TREAD UNDER FOOT FORTY AND TWO MONTHS.'
The TRAMPLING DOWN of Jerusalem(HOLY CITY) TERMINATED in 1798(Rev 11:2).
Jerusalem being trodden down, is NOT the LITERAL Jerusalem being spoken of in Luke. It's SPIRITUAL JERUSALEM(God's people).
At 1798, is when the 'TIMES OF THE GENTILES'CEASED. At 1798, God began to grow an 'Israel' unto Himself for the SECOND TIME; and it wasn't literal Israel, but spiritual Israel. This 'Gathering Time' extended until October 22nd, 1844,when God DENOMINATED a people; MARRIED a people and gave the LAW to His people.
The Millerite history gets REPEATED to THE VERY LETTER. So when we see 1798 repeated, you can be SURE that God has begun to gather a people unto Himself for the harvest. Not a new denomination, but the development of the REMNANT. This is the SIGN of the coming of Christ.
It took forty-six years to build the temple; and sure enough, from 1798 to 1844, is forty- six years! God was rearing up the spiritual temple: SPIRITUAL ISRAEL!
